Frequently Asked Questions - F.A.Q.

How do I know my size?

To measure the size of your hand, simply measure the circumference of your hand with a tape measure, excluding the thumb. Once you have the number, just go to the chosen glove and you will find a table below that will help you understand the most correct size to purchase.

How to make a return?

If the gloves have not been worn and maintain their original shape, they can be returned or exchanged. Contact us immediately via email at eshop@martelligloves.it and we will assist you with the return. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

The glove I want is not available or there are few pieces, what should I do?

Before purchasing, email us which glove you are interested in and the quantity. We can then check if we have more available and put them up for sale. Otherwise, click on the size even if it shows as unavailable, and a space will appear on the side where you can enter your email to be notified as soon as it becomes available again.

Why are the shipping costs so high?

The gloves are shipped via Mailbox Etc., which will choose the most suitable courier and will send you an email as soon as it has delivered your order to the chosen courier. Shipping costs include insurance on the package and a tracking number.

Why can't I find my country among those you ship to?

We cannot ship worldwide. If your country is not on the list, write to us and we will check if we can find a solution.

If I purchased at the Martelli Store, can I exchange the gloves through the website and/or vice versa?

Unfortunately no, the Martelli store and the website are two different channels with different costs and inventories. If you purchased in-store or want to contact them, write to: info@martelligloves.com

Why are the prices different from those in the Florence store?

The store in downtown Florence of Martelli Gloves is the only direct seller of the Martelli Factory. The stores around the world and the website are resellers with different costs and free to set their own prices.

Do the gloves have a long-term warranty?

No, the gloves do not have a long-term warranty. Before shipping, a quality check is performed. But if when they arrive you find a defect or they do not fit, contact us for an exchange or refund. In this case, it is very important not to wear them and to keep them in the condition in which they arrived. We remind you that the gloves you purchased are made with leather and natural tanning, so they may have slight differences in shade. This should not be considered a defect, but a valuable characteristic, confirming their absolute authenticity.

What to do if I have stained the gloves?

It is important not to use creams or sprays on the leather of the gloves. The leather could stain. Be careful not to touch your face or food. The leather absorbs any oil or makeup, and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to remove.

In case of washing, it is recommended either dry cleaning or, even better, to take them to a laundry that washes leather accessories.

What to do if the gloves have come undone?

The leather gloves, whether lined or unlined, are very fragile and can only be used to keep your hand warm while walking; they are not suitable for use on bicycles, scooters, or anything else. The first times you wear them, they should never be pulled from under the thumb, as these are the most fragile seams of the glove at the beginning. Over time, the leather will give and become softer. But if the size is not correct or they fit tightly, pulling them could tear them. If over time you notice seams coming undone or stitches skipping, we recommend taking them to a tailor who knows how to sew leather.
